Chapter 1: Victorious to Villainous

One dark and stormy night at 3 am, the worst one yet, a kid named Viraj, formally a hero, was taking some air in the balcony, when suddenly he was struck by lightning. His powers saved him, but he was turned into a villain. Overcome by horrid intentions, he plotted to rule the world. He knew he would have to overcome the Jersey Heroes but he could defeat them. Or so he thought. That very night Saviour Swara was restless in bed, she woke up her sister Magnificent Mihika when she heard Viraj's screams and cackles. "Mihika! Someone's in trouble, we need to save them!" cried Saviour Swara. Magnificent Mihika said sleepily "Not now, sis, go back to sleep." "No, I'm serious Mihika, Victorious Viraj is in trouble and we need to save him!" cried Saviour Swara. "Shush Swara! You don't want mom and dad to hear!" Mihika whispered as she clapped her hand onto Swara's mouth. Swara groaned as she pulled her sister's hand away. "Mihika, there's someone in trouble here, are you going to help me or go back to sleep?" Swara asked annoyed. "Okay, let's go, but as long as you stay quiet." Mihika said as she stretched and yawned. Swara nodded. She turned into an owl and swooped into Viraj's balcony while Mihika stuffed pillows under their covers in case their parents heard. Invisibly she used her X-Ray vision to supervise her sister. Since Saviour Swara was an owl, she had nocturnal vision, though it was nowhere as good as her sister's. She did not spot Viraj's glowing red eyes, which indicated that Viraj was turning into a villain. Mihika screamed in her head as a warning using their mental communication system. "He's turned into a villain, Swara we need to escape!" Swara understood, swooping back to her sister, or in this case, her super sidekick. "The lightning must have transformed Viraj into a Villain!" Swara explained! "It has happened before," she said as she scanned earlier records from other heroes using her power of knowledge. Mihika sensing that her sister was about to start a lecture, said "Not now Swar! We have to go to our secret hideout and call a meeting of the Jersey Heroes!" "Outrageous Om is not going to be happy that his sidekick has been turned into a villain." Swara added. Suddenly they heard footsteps down the hall. Mihika switched on her invisibility. "Swara you are not invisible! Turn into a bug or something I will put you in my pocket" Mihika said nervously. Swara turned into a giant scorpion and Magnificent Mihika groaned loudly. "Why something so big! Do not sting me!" Mihika said quietly. Scorpion Swara stared at her. Mihika grabbed her and stuffed her sister into her pajama pocket. Then she ran downstairs as quickly as she could, looking through the walls to see if her parents were approaching. Finally, she made it to the basement where Outrageous Om and Super Suhani were already waiting. Outrageous Om was outraged for once in his life. "MY BROTHER IS A VILLAIN! HE TRIED TO LOCK ME IN MY ROOM!" he roared. "Calm down Om" Magnificent Mihika said as she patted her hand on Om's back. Swara smiled, her sister was excellent at calming people down. But Om was too angry for words. "Let's END HIM!" He said as he smashed his fist onto his palm. "Om, Om, calm down. Let's calm down before we carry on with our work, okay? We'll get to the bottom of this." Mihika said reassuringly. "Swara, can you transform yourself into a raccoon? We don't want Viraj to get suspicious about you swooping in all the time. Om, can you use your super strength to lift Super Suhani to the corner of the basement, please? I think I hear Mom and Dad coming." She said quietly. Om quickly pulled the baby to the Superheroes' hideaway, and carefully stuck a pacifier into her mouth. The Superheroes had decided that whenever they bring the baby into the hideout, they will always put something in her mouth so that they won't take any chances. Just as Swara, in raccoon form was going into the hideout, Mihika mentally sent her a note not to go, because she saw with her x-ray vision that their parents were awake. Their parents came down to the basement seeing only a raccoon, an empty crib, and Saviour Swara's cat. Not daring to get rid of the raccoon they left. As soon as they were gone Saviour Swara turned into a human again picked up her super cat, Velvet (who had teleported herself there), and slid down the hatch into the secret underground hideout. Magnificent Mihika was playing with her super hamster, Peppy, while Om scratched his super dog. Velvet teleported onto the table where Peppy the hamster's cage was. Her power was teleportation. She scratched the lock so Peppy could get out. Peppy came out and grew till he was Velvet's size. Her power was to grow big and scare enemies. Om's dog Magnus licked a mouse. It froze and Velvet carried it to her side of the room. Magnus had the power to freeze things with his drool. Magnificent Mihika looked into the other rooms of the hideout. Her power was X-ray vision and invisibility. Om lifted his 400-pound dog. His power was super strength. Saviour Swara was looking through old records and experiences from other superheroes in the past. All of the records were stored far away in the *super* archives. But Swara had the power of knowledge. That and the ability to transform into anything. She looked at her cat summoning it with the superhero communication system. It teleported to her side. Mihika decided that it was time to strategize. "Come on guys! What are Viraj's powers and weaknesses.?" Mihika asked encouragingly. "Well we know he has the power of changing objects to his own command." Saviour Swara said. "He can totally use that against us. It's one of the 5 top powers!" Om replied. "Hey! We cannot give up, we have the other 5 top powers! I have invisibility, Swara has shape-shifting, Suhani has cuteness, and Om you have super strength." Mihika said. Om laughed " Really. that's not much of a difference! I'm gonna give you 1 minute to disguise yourselves. Will you be able to do that? You need time to switch on your powers. I keep telling you Saviour you should organize more training sessions!" Om talked for less than a minute. When he turned around, he saw a mouse, a hamster in a cage, his dog, and a black cat.


Chapter 2: Don't pay attention to the rattlesnake, please.

Mihika did not like being in the same room as a rattlesnake. Neither did her hamster, Peppy. Om loved the sense of being around perfectly safe danger. Even though the rattlesnake happened to be her sister Saviour she just felt chills down her spine. When Super Suhani had crawled in Om had pointedly said " Don't pay attention to the rattlesnake please," making Suhani bolt closer to her ridiculous pet - a fish in a bowl without a lid. It was just a round ball-shaped tank with a plug at the top. Since it was ball-shaped the fish could move across the floor. The parents thought it was "cute". Mihika thought it was ridiculous! It was meant for Swara since the parents didn't know about Suhani's powers and thought a regular baby could not take care of a fish. But really it was Suhani's because she cared for it - fed it, played with it, and slept with the ball in her crib. The parents knew that she played with it and loved it and thought it was nice of Swara to take care of it for her. But really Suhani handled it all - in a strange super baby way! Just then, The rattlesnake inched closer to Mihika, causing her to scream. Everyone heard footsteps. Swara the rattlesnake slid into a gap in the floorboards and everyone else scurried over to the flap that lead to their secret hideout. Mihika used the secret communication system to tell Swara to use infrared vision since she was a rattlesnake. Swara sent her a message back, telling her that there were too many living things there, that she could not detect anything. She told Mihika to use her X-ray vision. Mihika said that their parents were awake. They heard muffled voices. "Must have been the wind and the trees" everyone heard. Swara suddenly hissed and slithered toward the entrance to the training room, indicating she wanted to go train. Velvet glared at the snake who was her human partner. Then Velvet smacked her tail onto the ground. Since Swara could communicate with Velvet when she was a cat, Swara and Velvet had decided that was a sign that they wanted talk. Swara instantly turned into a sleek Persian cat. She and Velvet mewed at each other for a bit before Saviour Swara turned back into a human. "Velvet's hungry. She wants the mouse I found with my infrared vision as a rattlesnake," Swara explained. "But I want it more. I am starving and the food room is all the way across the hideout. Who should get it?" she asked. "YOU EAT MICE WHEN YOU'RE A CAT!" Om laughed. "I eat whatever the animal eats and I don't feel disgusted at all," Saviour explained seriously. Velvet suddenly mewed. While they had been talking she has helped herself to the mouse. Swara stuck her tongue out at her. " It's getting late. We have super school tomorrow. I am going back to sleep.," Magnificent Mihika said. "I am organizing a training and planning session." Saviour countered. "And YOU'RE attending," she said. " Fine" Mihika said as she stretched out her hands and yawned, again.
